The Dogs Trust - Harefield
The Dogs Trust buildings were built in 1797. In 2005 DJF and his team undertook the following work. Some of the timbers from the main barn came from Nelson’s ship.
Methods used
- Polyethylene and preparation of all elevations
- ProMax cleaning using 5 colour codes
- Lightly pumping off
- Biocide treatment
- Pencil abrasive soft clean system using 5 different abrasive mixtures
- Imperial brick replacement
- Cutting out mortar joints on all buildings
- Pointing up with lime and silver sand and wash sand of 45 minute mix
- Stucco repair on all plinths
